As far as challenging times go, we’ll do well to top the last 24 months in our lifetimes! For small businesses like ours, it has been a potential minefield, with disaster lurking around every corner. Thankfully, we have been able to operate throughout the pandemic with reasonable success and only really felt the pinch when it has come to things outside our control, such as shipping and the availability of materials.

We wanted to take an opportunity to reflect on the last 12 months and look at some of our highlights of 2021.

Projects

Part of our ethos is to ensure that we provide a personal service. We do this by spending a huge amount of time getting to know our clients and their requirements for their new homes. This year we have secured and started two fantastic projects in Farnham Common and Stoke Poges (see social media), both of which have had fantastic progress made on them in the lead up to Christmas.

It’s a challenging environment in which we are working and so we are delighted to be delivering these projects so early on in our journey.

Building a luxury home is not as simple as building an entire estate of various formatted homes. It’s an extremely personal thing and so, the time that we spend on the minutiae of the detail is what sets us apart from other property developers in the area.

This year our blog section has covered some interesting topics to help you when making the decision on whether to buy a project home that needs refurbishing or demolish and build your forever home.

We looked at what kind of building trends we would see in 2021 and these have been on point for the most part; the importance of the environment has been a hot topic in the media ever since the first lockdown in 2020 and there doesn’t seem to be any let up on the horizon. We took a look at how you and your home can benefit from using renewable energy, not only is it kinder to the environment but it could save you thousands of pounds every year on your utility bills.

We also produced some insightful articles to guide you through the process of building your own home. Many people are put off of the idea of building their own homes because they think it’s an expensive option, but you can save thousands on a new home by building it yourself, and with the help to build scheme it’s more affordable than ever!

We even produced some guides to help you start planning your extension and how to avoid the most common pitfalls of building your own home; not to mention how to kit your home out with smart gadgets that will not only help your home be more eco-friendly and energy-efficient, but also impress your friends with voice-controlled lighting, and AV equipment.
