Here’s why we love building unique homes in Buckinghamshire
Location
Firstly, Buckinghamshire’s location. Perfectly situated in the heart of England, Buckinghamshire is a county that strikes a delightful balance between charming rural landscapes and convenient urban amenities. With its close proximity to London, Buckinghamshire offers an excellent location for those that are yearning to leave the hustle and bustle of London for a serene countryside retreat with easy access back in for business.
Buckinghamshire is the perfect place to lay down your foundations. Many of the houses here are of Georgian design in plots with large and long gardens, this lends itself as an area with vast amounts of buildable land and planning consent for homes that are elegant with visual simplicity in design.
Green space
One thing that you feel when you arrive in Buckinghamshire is the green space around you. The nature enthusiast within you will be thrilled. The Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers a significant portion of the county, offering breath-taking landscapes in rain or shine, vast amounts of picturesque walking trails and opportunity for outdoor activities.
Additionally, the National Trust’s Waddesdon Estate, is steeped in history and with its magnificent gardens, it is one for your ‘must visit’ list.
Commute
Buckinghamshire has excellent transportation links which makes it an ideal choice for professionals commuting to London and even other nearby cities. With easy access to major road networks, including the M40 and M25, as well as reliable train services, commuting is a breeze.
The Chiltern Railways line, in particular, offers commuters a comfortable and efficient route in to London, and even Birmingham. Picture a stress-free journey to work, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of both urban and rural living by choosing to build your dream home in Buckinghamshire.
Schools
For families with children or planning ahead, Buckinghamshire offers a wide range of exceptional schools. The Royal Grammar School and Wycombe Abbey are renowned schools with a strong academic reputation.
Additionally, The Aylesbury Vale Academy and The Beaconsfield School are highly regarded secondary schools that provide excellent education. Rest assured that your children will receive a first-rate education in the area, setting them up for success in the future.
Shopping and dining on your doorstep
The historic market town of Amersham offers a unique shopping experience, with its independent boutiques, antique stores, and artisanal food shops.
Farnham Common is also a delightful destination within Buckinghamshire – where we have delivered numerous bespoke homes. The village boasts a charming high street lined with a variety of unique and inviting establishments. After perusing the shops, you can satisfy your taste buds at some of our favourite spots, The Royal Oak or La Cantina Del Vino.
For anyone looking for something more modern, The Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe is also a popular destination, featuring a wide range of shops, restaurants, and a cinema.
Sightseeing
Buckinghamshire is steeped in history and offers a wealth of fascinating sights to explore. Two of our favourite places to visit are the iconic Bletchley Park (once the top-secret home of World War II codebreakers which now serves as a museum and heritage site for all to enjoy) and the magnificent Waddesdon Manor (a French Renaissance-style château, showcases stunning architecture, remarkable collections, and delightful gardens) as property developers we particularly enjoy a meander around here.
For a family-friendly day out, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden (celebrating the life and works of the beloved author) is a hit with the kids.
